Just like any other building material, concrete structures and building elements require inspection and maintenance as a result of natural wear and tear.

A lot of damage and defects can be limited or prevented by protecting concrete surfaces with silicone, siloxane or a similar agent, and by carrying out systematic maintenance work in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

The aim therefore of the regular and systematic inspection of concrete is to identify defects and damage as soon as possible. This ensures that relevant maintenance/repair work can be planned and initiated when the degree of damage is still relatively low.
